„I love you, but…” she told me with tears in her eyes.
I’ve waited for an answer, even if I haven’t asked anything.
„We’re completely different, we don’t have anything in common, we drive each other crazy and we wait for happiness to hug us. No changes, no compromises, no nothing. How could you love me? I’m so difficult, complicated and I’m worse than a child. How can you like this? How can you see us together while we are running in different places?”
Those words hurt me, but instead of saying something stupid, I smiled politely and hugged her tight. After a few moments of silence… :
„We’re different, that’s right, but that’s us; a wild nonsense. We are not good together, but together we are bad for each other. I love that. Maybe it’s not how we dreamed: I’m not Romeo, and you certainly aren’t Juliet, but, again, that’s us and how it’s supposed to be. Forget the „but”. In love there are no „ifs”, „buts” or whatever, it’s just here and forever. It’s not just a feeling; it’s a part of your body. It’s an organ who works with small things and a lot of feelings instead of blood. You can’t live without it. It’s like you want to live without a heart. You can’t. It’s not just an arm, a leg or an eye. No, it’s a heart which can control all your body. I’m telling you this just once: I love you with no beginning and no end. I love that you have become an extra necessary organ to my body and I love how you have changed me. I love everything about us.”
